British-Made Bricklaying Clamps: Choosing Your Setup

British-Made Bricklaying Clamps: Choosing Your Setup

A bricklaying profile needs a secure, correctly aligned setup before it can provide a useful line reference. Rhinobuild’s British-made bricklaying clamps form part of that system, helping tradespeople choose equipment for the corner or return they are working on.

Start with fit. Choose the clamp for the profile section, working arrangement and opening capacity. Similar-looking components are not automatically interchangeable.

What does a bricklaying profile clamp do?

The clamp secures the profile in its intended position. The profile supports the line equipment, while your level and setting-out checks establish the reference. A clamp does not remove the need to check position, plumb or movement as work progresses.

Profile section

Check the stated section and dimensions of your profile against the clamp specification.

Corner arrangement

Identify whether you need an internal, external or other specialist setup.

Capacity and contact

Check the opening range and where the clamp bears against the work.

Build a compatible system

  • Compare the exact clamp and profile specifications before ordering.
  • Check whether line holders, Dori blocks or other fittings are included or sold separately.
  • Set out and check the profile before tensioning the line.
  • Recheck the setup after adjustment or accidental disturbance.

Care between jobs

Remove mortar build-up from contact areas and inspect moving parts before use. Follow the product instructions for cleaning, adjustment and storage. Stop using damaged equipment until its condition has been assessed.

Can a profile clamp be used to carry bricks?

Do not assume it can. Profile clamps and brick-handling tools perform different tasks. Use equipment specifically intended and rated for the handling job.

Will every clamp fit every profile?

No. Check the exact dimensions and stated compatibility. If you are unsure, send us the product name and profile measurements before ordering.
